Merely a lack of craving?

I've been experimenting with e-caps and NUUN. Taking 3 e-caps per 20 ounce fill-up of water left me with an aversion to salt for two days. Same thing when using 1 NUUN tablet per 20 ounce fill-up. Today I tried 1/2 NUUN tablet per 20 ounce fill-up. That felt right. I might try e-caps again in lesser quantities. The NUUN tablets are not easy to split in half. You have to do it with a knife - not just snap it in half - or else it crumbles.

I have a high sweat rate, and extremely salty sweat. After a hot workout, salt will crystallize on my face leaving a white dust. The first time I noticed this, I thought it was sand, and wondered where did all this sand on my face come from. Then I realized it was salt!

Perhaps what I am experiencing as an aversion to salt, is merely a lack of craving salt. I have craved salt for two years. One of my favorite treats is to lick the salt from the bottom of a bag of pretzels.

Now I don't have that craving. No more need to lick the salt off pretzels anymore, or suck on matchsticks either.
