I’ve been cleaning my house all day. I started cleaning at 10:00 am, as soon as I got back from my six mile run. Since it’s almost 4:00 now, that’s 6 hours of housework. Bleah. I’d much rather do a half ironman race. Here are some reasons I prefer a race over housework:
- it is alot more fun
- it burns alot more calories
- it’s done outdoors
- it involves riding my bike
- I could eat candy afterwards, and whatever the hell else I wanted!
Ah, well, housework is one of the necessary evils of life. It wouldn’t be so bad if I did it more often. I am a total procrastinator when it comes to housework. I always avoid it by doing things like working out, blogging, and watching episodes of ‘The Office’ on my DVR.
The sad thing is that I barely made a dent in what needs to be done. While cleaning, I was thinking of my friend, Rebecca , who had to prepare her house to sell. She’s moving (sniff, sniff). She has to keep her house spotless while caring for a baby, four dogs and a cat. I’d be in deep doo doo if I had to sell my house.
I have to go make dinner now. I will leave you with the doo doo song by The Police.

I will up the ante and say that I would rather do an Ironman than clean the house! I really hate cleaning, but agree that it is a necessary evil.
