I'm also a couch potato to triathlete and still fairly new to the sport. I have only competed in two Sprint Triathlons so far, but am looking forward to my first Olympic distance. I know this race fills up fast, but I'm hoping to get a space for 2009.

This was a wonderful detail of the race, but I still have one question about Over the Mountain - is the entire 45K of the bike path paved?

Thank you and Congratulations on coming in 3rd! Amazing!

Very detailed post... I want to participate in an event like this, but if i am going to do that, i need to become a better swimmer. Running a 10K in just over an hour after cycling and swimming for the past 2 hours is strong!
