I am taking a prescription of Prednisone this week, and am so jacked up with energy. Wish I could take this stuff all the time! I don’t know what to do with myself! Here’s the story:
I noticed an insect bite on my leg on Monday, and it turned into a really bad reaction. There was a mosquito bite looking mark surrounded by a golf ball size itchy red patch.
On Wednesday, the itchy redness had grown to the size of a tennis ball. By Thursday, it was bright red and the bite was taking on a dark hue. I didn’t like how that looked, so I went to Doctor. He said it was probably a spider bite, possibly a brown recluse. Yikes! Luckily, there has been no necrosis like in the nasty pictures I’ve seen online – eww. He said treatment was to hit it hard and fast with a high dose of Prednisone.
The doctor said I would be hyper. He was NOT kidding. I did a Spinervals Suffer-o-Rama workout on Thursday morning. And then felt like doing it again later (tho, I did not)!
A good friend pointed out that Prednisone is steroids. So I chose to do Spinervals “Muscle Breakdown” on Friday. Later that day, I did my core stability ball dumbbell strength workout. Might as well take advantage of the opportunity, hehe!

I have a rare auto immune disease called Wegener's Granulomatosis and take prednisone on a regular basis. I am doing my first sprint traithlon in a week and a half. Prednisone is known to weaken muscle tissue, did you find any issues while you were taking it?
Thanks very inspring I was freaked out initially cause of side effects. This is my day one and I don't see harm in a lil more energy. Think I will go work out today for first time ina year
