A Trakkers Teammate, Jamie Bull, visited the Rev 3 Tri race site this past weekend to preview the course. He describes the bike course as “a killer”, “lots of steep climbs”, and “stupidly hard”. Yikes, I hope I am not underestimating that bike ride! I’m still going to keep telling myself that I love climbing. And when I get to that climb at mile 25, I am going to say “Yay hills”. It’s all about hillatude, right?

Here is another review of the course by a blogger named Chris. Chris describes that big climb at mile 25 as “…continuously uphill. Easier portions, interrupted by sadistic steep hills. Neverending ones.” Gulp. He adds that 12/25 cassette will do fine, and he only rarely needed to the 25 gear. That makes me feel a little better.
Oh, and by the way, Jamie left a comment yesterday about the picture of my bike with the front wheel propped up 4 inches higher than the front wheel…
