Will Race for Arm Warmers and a Hoodie

As you know, I have been too busy with my career to pay much attention to my blog. Or training for that matter.    I love my job, and am doing really well at it.   So, it has paid off to put my competitive drive into that aspect of my life.      But I miss training and racing and I am in the worst shape I’ve been in since 2007.     Don’t get me wrong, I am still in good shape.  I’m just no longer a lean mean triathlon machine.  And I miss that.

I was just about to succumb to the blue pill and forget about racing.     I mean why not just become a gym rat?  Why not work out just enough to not get fat?

Along comes Finish Strong announcing a new race called the UnNamed Half Ironman.    In September.   At the New Hope Overlook park on Jordan Lake. Hmmmmm….sounds very familiar.   It sounds very much like a race I used to have a love/hate relationship with.  A race that they cancelled on me.  A race that I still have a monkey on my back about.

To top it off, they are giving out Arm Warmers and a Hoodie!   I will race for Arm Warmers and a Hoodie!!!!!
