5k Race for the Lemurs

šŸ˜€ Hi Mom and Peg!

I ran a 5k race this past Saturday called Race for the Lemurs, sponsored by the Duke Primate Center. The course was a hilly trail in Duke Forest near Duke University. The race was rather casual, no timing chips, and the director said they werenā€™t even sure of the exact distance! My time was 26:41. I was hoping to get under 25, but am still happy with that number seeing as it was a hilly course. It works out to be a pace of close to 8:30.

My place out of all finishers (male and female) was 36 out of 90. My place was 15 out of 46 out of female finishers, which is top 30%.
