I was having trouble motivating myself to get out the door for my long run. It was dreary and cold outside today. We were supposed to get some pretty snow, but it turned into an icky freezing rain instead. I love running in snow, but not so much the cold drizzle.
A twitter friend named @runnrgrl sometimes tweets lovely pictures of the Canadian countryside while she runs. That idea was just the little kick I needed to get out the door today. So here are some scenes from Chapel Hill…

Thanks for nice pictures. I have about 10″ ground, not a grass in sight. I continue to read your blog for daily inspiration. I walk/run on treadmill and have recently tried walking backwards on treadmill holding onto one side while commmercials are on or I run at commercials.
Thanks for sharing these pics! Great idea for a long run. I usually carry a small camera on my long bike rides. My husband calls me a Jane Goodall, always running into some sort of critter out there.
