I am a Working Girl!  I am temporarily working full time as an Administrative Assistant at one of my client’s offices.   It’s a great job – very pleasant work environment.   Learning lots of things about “Accounts Receivable” and “Accounts Payable” and “Purchase Orders” and stuff like that.    Monday I get to Reconcile the accounts in QuickBooks.   It’s really more of an Accountant job, I think, and alot more complex than I expected.  It’s keeping me very busy!   I still have some part time freelance work to do too, so I am burning the candle at both ends.   It’s  a good thing I was on the “couch potato training plan” for the last couple weeks, because I have had no time to work out!

I finally did have time to run last night.   It was my first workout since my Ironman.   The first mile felt great and I enjoyed getting my body moving again.   Then my left foot started to hurt like hell.  Strangely, it did not hurt on the ball of my foot as it did during the race.  It hurt more on the top of my foot.  My guess is that I put alot of strain on my entire foot that day, as my body tried to accommodate the pain.    I cut last night’s run short, because I didn’t want to do any further damage.   I made an appointment next week to see the doctor about it.   I’ll keep you posted.

Tomorrow I do my first bike ride since the Ironman.  I am totally looking forward to spending some quality time with my bike. 🙂

I am not allowed to swim for a little while because of my tatoo.   Surprisingly, I am missing the pool.

Here’s an updated picture of my tattoo (mirror image, for obvious reasons!).    A guy at work asked me what the numbers meant, so I got to explain that I did an Ironman race.  That was pretty exciting for me.    It’s funny, the night I got my tattoo, I could hardly sleep.  Like I was pumped up on adrenaline.  I kept thinking about getting another one.   Is getting ink addicting?
